About Sizwe

Hey I’m Sizwe,
I help legal businesses who are struggling with poor email deliverability and low client engagement to get their emails into inboxes and write high-converting emails that turn leads into clients.
A fun fact about myself: When I’m not perfecting legal email strategies, you’ll find me strength training for calisthenics. I believe that building strength & endurance on the field translates to persistence in crafting emails that truly convert.
Check out some of my samples on here and if you’re ready, I’m looking to take on one more client this month who wants to turn leads into clients.
Book a call with me and let’s chat!

How I Became a Legal Copywriter (Without Even Realising It)
Life growing up had its share of struggles and tough moments.
Those moments made one thing crystal clear to me – I wanted more out of life… More freedom, more abundance.
I knew that wealth had rules, and I was bent on learning them. That’s what led me to go for a Business degree when I finished high school.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management and Economic Sciences…
My favorite modules? Hands down, Marketing Communications, Business Law, Estate Planning, and Strategic Management.
The Entrepreneurial Spark
I’ve always been a problem solver, someone who enjoys figuring out complex challenges. That’s why I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur.
But entrepreneurship is a broad term, right?
The real question was: what problem did I want to solve?
After graduating, I moved back home, where my dad had just started a law firm with some friends… Their entire marketing strategy? A business card. That was it at the time. And in 2020, of all years, when digital marketing had already taken over.
But at the time, I didn’t think much of it. I assumed they’d figure it out with their network of legal partners. It didn’t even cross my mind that I could have been the one to help.
Fresh out of university, all I wanted was to explore the world after years of being buried in books, and school was never easy for me – for the first time I felt free!
So, I packed my bags and moved to Sweden with my girlfriend.
A Sudden Loss & A Shift in Perspective
Shortly after moving to Denmark, my father passed away from COVID-19. Travel restrictions made it impossible to attend his funeral. Eventually, I was able to see my family, but it was a heartbreaking time.
After moving to Sweden, I landed an internship as a startup analyst, helping startups secure investments. That job gave me insight into the tech startup world—especially their marketing and business strategies.
And just two months after my internship ended, the company shut down…
Unemployed and struggling to find work. I attended job programs, applied for positions, but nothing clicked…
That’s when I decided: why not create my own opportunity?
Finding My Niche
I knew digital marketing was the future, but it’s a crowded industry – if I was going to stand out, I needed to niche down.
I started by looking at my interests:
Fitness & health? Loved it, but no formal expertise.
General business marketing? Too broad.
My favorite university modules… Marketing Communications, Business Law, Estate Planning, and Strategic Management? Now, that sounded promising.
That’s when it hit me. Law firms need marketing expertise – just like my dad’s firm did. I started wondering:
How many law firms struggle with marketing?
How do lawyers get clients beyond word-of-mouth?
What strategies do they use to build long-term relationships with potential clients?
The Missing Piece: Email Marketing & Copywriting
Here’s the thing – legal services aren’t an impulse buy.
Unlike shopping for a phone, people don’t just wake up one day and decide to hire a lawyer. It’s usually a need-based decision. And because of that, law firms need to stay top of mind for potential clients.
Enter email marketing – one of the best ways to nurture leads, educate potential clients, and build a long lasting relationship with them. And I noticed that most law firms don’t do it well.
As I researched more, I stumbled upon copywriting – specifically, conversational-based marketing. I found it engaging, rewarding, and, most importantly, fun.
That’s when I realised – I love writing.
Turning My Passion into a Business
That’s how I ended up freelancing in legal copywriting & email marketing. I started as a general legal content marketer, but I’ve since niched down even further:
✅ Helping boutique law firms and ALSPs with email list management & high-converting email copy.
✅ Specializing in Business & Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Estate Planning & Probate, and Legal Tech.
✅ Making sure law firms don’t just “exist” online—but actually convert leads into paying clients.
And honestly? I love it. It keeps me learning, growing, and constantly diving deeper into the world of legal tech, AI, and legal services innovation.
But between you and me… I don’t like putting myself in a box.
While I specialize in helping businesses in the legal space, throughout my journey I’ve learned that I can actually write for any business—as long as I understand its background and have some insight.
And that’s the best part: every project is a chance to learn something new, stay ahead of trends, and keep exploring whatever interests me.
Thank you for reading my story 🙂
